Local Flavor RetreatJoin us for this enchanting and unique paddle where you will experience the surreal beauty of Maryland's coastal waterways in a whole new light. Cruise along the beautiful flat waters of the Assawoman Bay and navigate along the coastline experiencing firsthand the array of wildlife as you paddle the peaceful waters. Who We Are
OC SUP & Fitness is located on 60th St & the Bay at Fager's Island. We offer SUP lessons, rentals, excursions, and SUP fitness classes-such as Flowga-Yoga on a stand up paddleboard, Core Paddle-a core workout and Paddle Bootcamp to mix intervals of paddling and strength training. We also offer land classes such as ZUMBA, Cycling, Beach Yoga, Chisel and Bootcamps. OC SUP & Fitness is owned and operated by Dawn Ehman Marohl, who has been in the fitness industry over 20 years and competes in SUP races around the country.
Stand Up Paddleboarding (or SUP) is the fastest growing water sport in the world for a good reason - it's incredibly fun and easy to learn! We will provide you with the standup paddleboard, paddle, personal floatation device, and patient, friendly and professional instruction. We'll have you loving the sport in no time.
You will paddle around the serene waters of the Bay. Enjoy gorgeous views and local wildlife, including birds, and other sea creatures. We will cover all the basics you need: proper stance, paddling technique, turning and more. Not only is SUP a great time, it's also an excellent core workout. It looks like the miracle of "walking on water". We offer lessons, rentals, fitness classes, excursions and board sales in the Ocean City, Maryland area.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)?
It is a very stable surfboard to stand on and use a long paddle in your hand to glide across the water and experience sea life and landscape that normally cannot be accessed.
What Do I Wear?
We recommend wearing a swim suit or board shorts with a top. You likely will not end up in the water at all, so once you start paddling around in the sun, you’ll likely get warm. Footwear: Most people paddle barefoot and are fine. A pair of aquasox or water shoes can be used.

We will meet on the pier.
What Should I Bring?
Just your chosen paddling wear, applied sunscreen and excitement! We’ll have the correct size board and paddle waiting for you.
Do I have to know how to surf?
Not at all!
Is there a minimum or maximum age or size to paddle?
As long as you are in good health there is no reason why you cannot paddle!
What about weather and water conditions?
A light mist in the hot weather is okay for paddling, but no paddling in heavy rain or thunderstorms! We will then reschedule. If in doubt, please call. Also, if we deem the water conditions for the day dangerous, we reserve the right to reschedule (safety first).
I am just one person, can I join a group lesson?
Yes, just sign up for a group lesson and you will be added into a group at the specified time. Remember, private lessons are also available.
Is gratuity included?
No, but it is not required. If you want to let your instructor know what a great job he or she did, it is a way to do that! Or referrals are always welcome too!
Do you do parties, events, youth groups etc?
Yes, we love to! It is a great way to get kids involved in a fun sport and the outdoors! Also, it is a wonderful team building experience for work
What is your refund & rescheduling policy?
Weather Delays: All lessons will take place at their scheduled time as long as weather permits. We reserve the right to postpone lessons at their discretion due to weather or conditions if they deem unsafe. If conditions or weather prevent the lesson from taking place, the lesson will be rescheduled for a future convenient time or credit will be issued for a future lesson.
Cancellations: All cancellations will incur a $50 processing fee. Lessons may be cancelled up to 72 hours before the scheduled lesson to obtain a full refund, less the processing fee. Lessons cancelled up to 48 hours before scheduled lesson time will be refunded for half of the lesson price, less the processing fee. Cancellation made 48 hours or less before scheduled lesson is not eligible for refunds.
Rescheduling: If there are open times, you may reschedule up to 48 hours prior to scheduled lesson. If there are no open times, cancellation terms will apply. Lessons may be rescheduled one time only.
No-Shows: There is no refund or rescheduling for no-show lessons.
